AMPCOLOY® 83 is an alloy with 1.9% Beryllium that exhibits very good mechanical properties along with good electrical and thermal conductivity. It has exceptionally high malleability, and resistance to corrosion, is easy to machine, and can be easily polished and welded. Compared to parts made of Cu-Ti alloy, it is possible to increase the service life by up to 50%, even with the improved cycle time of such an injection mold. Caution: Avoid inhalation or eye contact with this type of material in operations where fumes or dust are generated.
