This type is a universal type for welding on parts that are exposed to strong impacts with moderate abrasion resistance requirements. The main areas of use are cutting tools and molds for the automotive industry. Despite its high hardness, this welding material is tough, resistant to cracking and holds the edge well. The coating can be processed by grinding.
Mechanical properties
- Material: 1.4718 (DIN standard)
- Hardness of pure weld material: 54-60 HRc
- Soft annealed at 800 oC approx. 250 HB
- Hardened at 1000oC / in oil 62 HRc
- Recommended for materials 1.2080, 1.2379, 1.2436, 1.2601 and similar
