Grinding stones made on the basis of corundum grain. Their characteristic properties are given by a special resin bond, which achieves exceptional fracture toughness and also a typical impact effect between individual abrasive grains. In this reason, the surface to be treated is finer than the generally used compound grain size and therefore these stones are supplied from a grain size of 90. RA grinding stones retain their shape well, do not tear the surface to be machined and are very suitable for edge processing. Furthermore, they are used mainly in the removal of the layer after sparking, because sharp corundum is able to remove this extremely hard layer very quickly. These stones can be used by hand, in sawing and ultrasonic extensions without restriction for all types of steels for the production of molds and dies. When working with these stones, we recommend using an oil for working with grinding stones, which prevents the clogging of grinding stones with dirt and increases the grinding performance and quality of the treated surface.
