Description
According to its excellent resistance to hot wear and its toughness, this type is used for highly thermally stressed tools, which are simultaneously subjected to high mechanical, thermal, and abrasive demands. Such tools are, for example, forging dies for hammers and presses, forging saddles, die-casting molds for aluminum, injection molds for plastics, or scissors blades for hot work. This welding material can be refined, nitrided, chromium-plated, CVD-coated, polished, and machined.
